Cooperation memorandum was signed between Azerbaijan Technological University and Gabala Canning Plant. For this purpose, issues such as adapting personnel training to the requirements of the labor market, strengthening the application of modern technologies on a scientific basis, conducting joint scientific-practical experiments, etc. were discussed and suggestions were put forward at the meeting held at the Gabala Canning Plant. The memorandum of cooperation was signed by ass. prof. Yashar Omarov, acting rector of Azerbaijan Technological University (ATU) and Ozgur Demirkiran, the director of Gabala Canning Plant in Gabala Food City. Azerbaijan Technological University has established cooperation relations with Gabala Canning Plant since April 5, 2023. During this period, ass. prof. Yashar Omarov, acting rector of Azerbaijan Technological University (ATU) visited the Gabala Food City with his delegation and got acquainted with the infrastructure, production process, applied modern technologies, the working principle of the equipment, staffing requirements and encountered problems in the enterprise. It should be noted that in April of current year, the head of the country got acquainted with the products of the plant in Gabala Food City. The enterprise produces about 100 types of products, including chips, fruit juice and nectar. The plant's brands such as "Chipsim", "Pepsi", "Jala", "Natura", "Mia", "AQUA" are also present in foreign markets.

The appointment to the position of vice-rector for educational affairs at the Azerbaijan Technological University. According to the relevant order of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ragif Tofig oghlu Huseynov was appointed to the position of vice-rector for educational affairs of the Azerbaijan Technological University. Today, ass. prof. Yashar Omarov, acting rector of Azerbaijan Technological University, brought the ministry's order regarding the new appointment to the collective's attention and presented the vice-rector to the collective. It should be noted that since August 2022, R. Huseynov worked as the head of the Teaching Department of the Azerbaijan Technological University. Until then, he worked as a leading economist at Ganja City Statistics Department, director at Khazar Education Center, assistant at ASAU and ATU, and teacher at Tomori Pal University (Hungary). Ragif Huseynov, a graduate of the Faculty of Economics of the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (ASAU), in 2016-2020, Ragif Huseynov received a doctorate degree at St. Stephen's University (Hungary) within the framework of the Intergovernmental Scholarship Program.

An iftar table was opened for employees of Azerbaijan Technological University (ATU). Ass. prof. Yashar Omarov, acting rector of Azerbaijan Technological University congratulated the collective on the occasion of the upcoming Ramadan holiday, wished prayers to be accepted, and wished prosperity, peace and tranquility in the world. Haji Tahir, representative of the Western region of the Caucasian Muslims Administration and Hasan Mammadov, head of the Ganja region department of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, who participated in the ceremony, said that Ramadan demonstrates the solemnity of national-spiritual solidarity, humanism, compassion and mercy in our society. At the iftar table prayers were offered, conversations were opened about the virtues of Ramadan.

Haji Tahir, representative of the Western region of the Caucasian Muslims Department, who participated in the ceremony, spoke and said that Ramadan demonstrates the solemnity of national-spiritual solidarity, humanism, compassion and mercy in our society. Prof. Fuzuli Mammadov who is the head of the Department of Management also made a speech and firstly congratulated the acting rector Mr. Yashar Omarov and entire staff on the upcoming Ramadan holiday and wished them good wishes.  This event organized by ATU’s Trade Union Committee. Later, prayers have been done at the iftar table, and conversations were opened about the virtues of the month of Ramadan.

Championship games dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev will be held at the Azerbaijan Technological University. Table tennis, checkers, chess and volleyball championship games dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev will be held at the Azerbaijan University of Technology. The competitions, which will start on April 26, 2023, will be held between employees and students of Azerbaijan University of Technology. The games will be held in the university gym, first among employees and then among students.

 The project “The motherland called you a son'' has been presented at the Azerbaijan Technological University. The event was declared open with the playing of the National Anthem. Later, the dear memory of the martyrs who died for the Motherland was commemorated with a minute's silence. Shahmar Hasanov, adviser on social issues and public relations of Azerbaijan Technological University, project manager Elnara Abbasova, martyred mothers Naila Alakbarova, Sevil Huseynova, families of martyrs from different regions of the republic, students and teaching staff of the university participated in the presentation ceremony. Within the framework of the meeting, a documentary film called "Motherland called with a lullaby" based on the project was shown. The film tells about the lives of martyrs Rashad Alakbarov and Zaur Ismayilzade and their path of war. The aim of the project "The motherland called you a son" is to provide psychological support to the war participants, to once again introduce the martyrs who died for the Motherland, and to serve to raise the spirit of patriotism among young people.
