Rector of Azerbaijan Technological University Assoc.prof. Yashar Omarov said that National Leader Heydar Aliyev always focused on the issue of food security of the country during all periods of his leadership in Azerbaijan and included it among the main elements of the statehood strategy. As a continuation of this, as a result of the efforts of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, important work has been done in the direction of ensuring food safety, and the adopted state programs in this field are being successfully implemented. In his speech, Y. Omarov drew attention to the current situation and current issues of the food industry and food safety in the world, and expressed confidence that the discussions to be held in the sections will be productive and will contribute to the mentioned areas. Then Ali Nabiyev, Chairman of the Management Board of AFSI, made a speech and said that the concept of agricultural development realized by the National Leader created a favorable ground for ensuring the quality of food products in our country and accelerating the development of the food industry. He noted that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the reforms implemented in the field of food safety together with other areas contribute to improving the provision of healthy food to the population. A. Nabiyev also talked about the measures implemented by AFSI in connection with ensuring food safety, as well as the importance of the Ganja Regional Testing Laboratory for the field and the region.
