About the Library and Information Center
The Library and Information Center (LIC) of Azerbaijan Technological University was established in 1970 and it is included in the system of libraries of higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan.
The LIC has more than 207912 printed items in its collection. These include books, brochures, informational publications, scientific journals, patent literature, newspapers, lecture texts and electronic resources. The bulk of textbooks, study guides and scientific literature in the LİC collection are books in Russian and Azerbaijani languages related to textiles, light industry, food industry, mechanical engineering, ecology, ICT, tourism and other areas of economy. economy. There are also rare books in the KIM collection. At present the number of KIM readers is 3246.
The LİC becomes familiar with the University's curriculum, research programs and topics, and informs departments of the list of newly acquired books.
1.1 General Rules.
1.1 The library can be used by teachers, researchers, doctoral students, masters and bachelors, all university employees, students, masters, doctoral students and researchers of other educational institutions, as well as by outsiders. Extraneous readers are served only in the reading room.
1.2 Books, magazines, newspapers, texts of lectures, electronic resources and other materials are available to the readers of the library. Literature is published in reading rooms and by subscription.
1.3 Enrollment in the library is carried out on presentation of ID card depending on the category of readers.On the basis of the student card the library issues a permanent library card.
1.4 The library registers readers annually. Readers must deposit all books in their name at the time of registration, they can pick up the purchased books after registration. Readers must deposit all books in their name before leaving for summer vacation.
1.5 If a reader changes jobs or education, they must notify the library within 10 days.
A - Subscription
2.1 Scientific literature is provided to readers in the following amount for one year.
-- 15 volumes for professors, teachers, researchers and doctoral students, 10 volumes for senior students and masters students, up to 5 volumes for other readers, 10 additional volumes for members of the student scientific society, up to 5 volumes for postgraduates
- Textbooks are provided for one semester, not to exceed 15 books.
- Fiction is given on the condition that it is not more than 2 books in a period of 15 days.
- Delivery of publications in one copy to the home is determined by the director.
2.2 Books such as , rare valuable manuscripts, cognitive editions, abstracts, newspapers, which are in the auxiliary fund, are not delivered to the house.
2.3 If a book is kept for more than the specified time the reader is deprived of the right to use the library for a period of one month, in case of repeated storage the reader is deprived of the right to use the library for a period of 2 months.
B-in reading rooms
2.4 If a reader is an undergraduate or graduate student within 5 days and a research assistant does not apply for a book assigned to him/her in the reading room within 10 days, these books are returned to the keeper.
2.5 It is forbidden to remove books from the reading room.
2.6 Readers must use literature in the reading room based on special rules approved by the library.
3 The reader should know.
3.1 The reader must treat with care the books and other printed works he/she receives from the library.
3.2 After receiving a book, the reader must check and inform the librarian on duty about any defects, otherwise the reader is responsible for the damage of the book.
3.3 It is not allowed to write the book, fold the sheet, tear it.
3.4 He/she is responsible for damage to the library's collection in accordance with the law. Readers who have lost or damaged the books, other printed works and other materials in the library's collection are obliged to replace them with the same printed works and materials or works that the library considers equivalent, and in case of impossibility of such replacement are obliged to reimburse in the established order ten times their established value.
