Taking into account the importance and priority of applying international quality standards, as well as the need for continuous improvement of education in accordance with the needs of the state and society, Azerbaijan Technological University is based on the principles and directions determined by this policy in the field of quality.
ATU's quality policy is aimed at ensuring the quality of education and its continuous development in line with the goals of the Strategic Development Plan of the University. The quality policy of the activities carried out at the university is based on the provisions of the Bologna educational process, the National Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education area.
   The achievement of strategic goals is ensured on the implementation of the following directions:
1.  Taking into account the use of modern teaching technologies in the development of educational programs;
2.  Ensuring compliance of the necessity of the taught specialties with the requirements of the market;
3.  Providing education and social activities with adequate material and technical base;
4.  It covers various areas of the University's activities (educational, administrative, library, etc. the) by using information technologies extensively in order to ensure complexity in its management;
5.  Training of personnel on the basis of national and international academic teaching standards;
6.  By improving the system of quality control and assessment of the educational process;
7.  By involving teachers and students in the process of improving the quality of education in order to deepen the quality management system in teaching;
8.  Deepening integration and cooperation activities with scientific and production areas of the educational process;
9.  By positioning itself as an influential and guaranteed partner in the labor market;
10.  By transitioning from a teacher-centered education system to a student-centered education system;
11.  By constantly expanding activities on the development of international relations in the fields of scientific research;
12.  Conducting active exchange of teachers and students between universities within the framework of international programs;
13.  By improving the systems of material and moral stimulation, ensuring the degree of satisfaction of teachers and employees with their work;
14.  Creating favorable conditions for the application of new teaching technologies and the results of scientific research;
15.  By promoting the processes of self-organization and self-government in structural units and among students;
   
The policy of Azerbaijan Technological University in the field of quality assurance is part of its development strategy reflecting its role and core values. In this regard, all structural units of the university take into account the requirements of the quality assurance system in their activities.     

The policy of Azerbaijan Technological University in the field of Quality Assurance is as follows:
* Improvement of the quality assurance system in accordance with the requirements of international standards;
* Regular analysis by management to ensure quality improvement;
* To ensure the development of quality staff and student capacity through the use of Advanced International experience in order to achieve the strategic objectives and goals ahead;
* Improvement of educational activities in accordance with international standards, increasing the level of professionalism of employees, ensuring their acquisition of modern skills;

The implementation of the quality assurance policy of Azerbaijan Technological University is based on the following principles:

* Application of a scientifically based methodology and adapted to international standards and requirements;
* Keeping in mind the internal (value, culture, knowledge, etc.) and external (technological, legal, social, etc.) factors affecting the goals and objectives of ATU;
* Identify risks and take appropriate preventive measures during the planning of each process;
* Regular check of the quality of education for compliance with international quality criteria;
* Improving the quality of statistical processes;
* Using a step-by-step approach in managing activities and resources to effectively obtain the planned results of each process;

Quality Assurance and Audit Department always works so that all staff:

* Have information on the law and normative legal acts of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
* Be regularly instructed to improve knowledge and skills;
* Know the policies and objectives in the field of quality assurance for the current period;
* Be able to master the necessary professional training;
* Have quality methodological and instructional documents;
* Provide appropriate software, computer equipment and other necessary means for the quality performance of the work;
* Build mutual relations on the principle of sincerity, reliability and joint problem solving;
* Timely and high-quality implementation of all tasks determined by the management;
* Update and improve existing knowledge in the field of quality;
  
Quality policy is an integral part of the University's strategy and is the basis of educational activity planning.
The Quality Assurance and Audit Department unconditionally complies with the above principles and is responsible for the education and continuous improvement of the efficiency of the quality management system.
