Reference book for foreigners

All necessary documents in another language must be translated into English by the official translation service and have a notary confirmation.

Cost of living
The average cost of living in ganja city is 400-450 AZN. These include: expenses for living, food, communal and other-transport and social activities, etc.

Visa / Migration
Azerbaijan University of Technology sends an invitation letter to applicants who have the right to study. They should apply with this letter to the embassy or Consulate of Azerbaijan.

All students must apply for a visa 3 months in advance to come to Azerbaijan. The full list of necessary documents related to the visa must be obtained from the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the respective country.

Foreign students must apply for a three-month student visa before arriving in Azerbaijan. And one month before the end of the visa, they must apply for a temporary residence permit - to live in the territory of Azerbaijan for 1 year without any obstacles. The Foreign Relations Office will assist you in obtaining a migration card.

Azerbaijan University of technology is the first in the region to train foreigners. Admission to the language training group is carried out all year round and the tuition fee is 1000 AZN. However, in accordance with the decision of the university administration, the tuition fee may vary.

Foreign students who want to study at ATU must first go to the Foreign Relations Department of ATU (international@uteca.edu.az) they need to apply. In the language preparatory group organized by the University, foreign citizens are taught regular language courses and subjects corresponding to their specialty. A foreign student who successfully completes the preparatory group is given a certificate by the Ministry of Education and can apply to different levels of higher education in Azerbaijan with this certificate.
