Scientific achievements
In the last year, growth dynamics were observed in the field of scientific research at Azerbaijan Technological University. Significant progress is reflected in the statistical indicators of research activities. Thus, in the last 6 months, more than 85% of the professors and teachers have created their profiles on the Google Scholar platform. It should be noted that in 2020 the number of such profiles was only 3 whereas in 2021 this number reached 10. The number of articles published in prestigious scientific journals included in Scopus and Clarivate Analytics databases increased 5 times compared to 2020, and 2.5 times compared to 2021. The number of such articles was 3 in 2020, 6 in 2021, and 15 in 2022. The increasing dynamics has also shown itself in republican scientific journals. Thus, while 92 articles were published in 2020 and 77 articles in 2021, 138 articles were published in 2022 in the scientific journals of the Republic. As for the number of patents received by ATU employees, the indicator in the last 5 years was 11. The achievements are related to the entry of ATU into a new period of scientific-research activity. Thus, GZIT analysis carried out at the departments, meetings held, stimulating events such as remuneration, revising the topics and ensuring inter-department relations and adapting them to the requirements of industrial enterprises led to a positive result. Based on the requirements of the relevant state programs and the memorandum of cooperation signed with 10 industrial enterprises in the last six months indicates that Azerbaijan Technological University will gain more achievements in the field of scientific research.
